I only have an apple laptop. Has anyone used a "non-windows" PC to attach and email/receive the files to put on the SD card and install in the HPTuner.?

There is not currently a solution for people to use Native MacOS. Many people use a Virtual Windows setup to do it. Really pretty easy. Many tutorials out there to do it.

You can also just buy a $300 Windows laptop, and not have to worry about it...

I got a reply from PBD about using a Mac computer.

we only offer tuning support for your st via the ngauge device. the datalog is done thru the device, once you save your datalog you only need to use your laptop apple or windows to attach your datalog file on to an email.

Well... perhaps I‘m missing something here but if NGuage is going away (I’ve heard the manufacturer is already gone with the exception of what Vendors have on their shelves) then PBD is going to need to change their agenda.

Correct. NGuage is done. E-Motion(manufacturers of NGuage) closed shop because of challenges sourcing components and COVID at the end of 2020.

I tuned a 700-hp Silverado in 2016-2017 with an hpt mpvi-1 and Macbook pro via Parallels virtual desktop. Worked just fine as if i was using a windows machine.

Yeah, I have a windows 10 image on VirtualBox... I was just more asking if there was a native solution.
There is no native solution.

Just my thought. I am considering purchasing a cheap Chromebook or something just for tuning. I’ve seen them really cheap and it may be worth it if the MAC isn’t an option.

Chromebook is ChromeOS, it definitely will not work.

You need Windows. A cheap low end windows laptop will do fine.

Man, it is such an interesting time with all these changes. I was thinking of going PBD route since ZFG is on hiatus, but I think this just solidified my wait for ZFG. Hopefully Adam comes back with the same quality product.

Do some Googling. There are A LOT of instructions out there and options to run Windows as a Virtual Machine on Apple.
