The temperature here was -25F last night and I noticed that my factory remote start (via key FOB) would not start my '21 ST. Even with me standing right in front of the vehicle. The lights would come on but then shut off again and the key fob would just blink red, there was no attempt to turn over the engine. The ford app on my phone also failed to start the vehicle, but it does that about 50% of the time anyways (the icon just spins and spins and never goes anywhere). I got in and the engine started easily on the first try. Later when I got home and had the vehicle in my heated garage (45F) for an hour I tried my remote start by FOB again and it worked fine...
On my drive home I was on dark highway and I noticed that my auto highbeams were also not working. I could manually trigger the highbeams, but the auto function wasn't working at all.
Have any of you had similar problems, or any other issues with your vehicle when the temperature is very cold?
I did make some edits using FORSCAN yesterday, so i'm also wondering if these might have had an impact? I enabled bambi mode, allow rear turn signal LED, disabled fake engine noise (set value to 9 instead of 0), and enabled navigation in motion.
