Just purchased and installed smart liner floor mats. Love the look and feel of these mats, but the driver side mat doesn't fit properly. Anybody else have this problem? According to the order these should fit 2021 explorer.

The snap at the top of the image is properly installed (centered and snapped in). The snap on the lower portion of the image has been removed from the mat and you can see the post doesn't align properly. Has the post center-to-center distance changed in the 2021 model year?

I got the Ford floor liners for the 2020 since that is what they had in stock and they fit fine in my 2021

Well, that settles that question. They must be the same spacing.

Anybody else having issues with the snaps on the smartliner driver side? It's a good half inch off here, there is no way I could install without removing the insert.

I bought westhertec and the Ford liners came with my 2021. I like the Ford liners and stayed with them.

That's exactly what I just purchased, from Amazon. Any chance you could take a picture of the fitment like mine above? It fits perfectly in the foot well, but there is no way to get both snaps. At first I thought it fit, but realized there was a bump and both snaps weren't done.

I am in LA on Business. I fly back to Boca on Tuesday. I will gladly do it then for you.

Update: And no her boyfriend didn't do this for us! My wife is a badass. Her daddy was a Navy SEAL before he passed away of a heart attack at 59 last year. ☹️ He taught her to shoot guns and drive stick before she got her period... hahaha.. she drives our Trackhawk like she stole it and before that she had a ZO6 convertible. She sleeps with a nickel plated 9 mm Beretta under her pillow..... and the best part of it is she just graduated med school, she's an oncologist, how scary is that? ❤️..
Anyway I hope this helps you my friend. I would call the manufacturer and ask them to send you out a replacement.

That is awesome! Thank you for going the extra mile!

Yep, looks like those line up better than mine. Odd, I would expect the manufacturing tolerance to be better on these. Even yours aren't quite centered, just close enough to work. Could be the tolerance on Fords side, but I doubt it... the ford liners work for everyone and they use small plugs with very little play. Guess I'll be contacting smart liner!

Thanks for the pics, I owe you one!

May I ask one or both of you to provide the center to center measurement in question? I ordered these mats for my 2021, which is on order from the factory. 7BE5690A-905B-4D3E-A049-9513C4EB92AD.jpeg The mats will arrive tomorrow, but the ST will arrive well after the return period, so with that measurement I can determine if they will work or not. Thanks in advance!

With a quick measurement I get 14 3/8". I would say that's within 1/8", it's hard to hold the tape measure centered exactly on the other end. Pictures attached.

haSTy...thank you very much for this information. I’ll post my measurement when they arrive so that we and others can get an idea of the likely variance. Thanks again.

Just a quick note... the measurement I gave was for the the center-to-center of the posts in the floor. The center-to-center of the holes in my mats is 14 1/8". You can see that in my images, but just want to be clear. There is a full 1/4" difference between my mats and the floor.

From your measurement your mats will still be off by 3/8", but I think they will be close enough to work. They will be like Blackssr's shown above where they aren't quiet centered but the difference can be split between the two holes.

Thanks for the clarification. I’ll make them work somehow, even if they’re off a little. I have Weathertech liners in my XLT, but they just don’t clean up as well as I would like. Thought I’d try Smartliner in the ST. My first impression is that the material is different (softer), but time will tell if they clean up better.

Mine have been in for 2 days now it was 30 degrees out when I installed them and now they have filled in any gaps that were there due to the cold. I first sprayed NeverWet down to water proof the carpet let it dry then put the liners in.
