Seems to be several Geezer Gearheads here that still have fast, muscle , big powerful cars in their blood.
I personally wonder if it's in my genes.
At 74 I still love to feel that , push you into the seat , feeling.
I love the sound of power from the 3 dueces (progressive linkage), 2 quads roaring.

I have had my share, of muscle cars.
GTO, Mustang, Chevelle , Superbee .
I have a built Vette now with built LT1. I also have a 2005 Ram 2500 modified and tuned 5.9 Cummins.
Only one I have a picture of is the Vette , Ram ,and the Superbee.

Now I'm wanting a ST for family daily use and fun also.

Some of you other Geezers tell us about being a gearhead.

I guess at 74, I qualify for the group. I've loved cars since I was a kid, and have owned a couple of good ones. A '57 Chevy 2 door coupe, a '67 Corvette, 1969 396 Chevy Camaro SS, an unknown vintage Jaguar XK120 full race modified, several Hemi powered Jeep Grand Cherokees and a whole bunch of others. The ST is probably going to end up as my all time favorite. It has room for taking friends to dinner, the grandkids to soccer games and such, and yet has enough performance to keep it interesting. My stable now also includes a 13 year old Wrangler that I've wrenched on for years, and two golf carts, one with the new Lithium Ion system that I can't begin to understand.

I may not have reached geezer status yet at only 50 years old and I haven’t scratched my classic car itch yet either...I prefer to screw up perfectly good modern trucks. lol
The black F250 had a 1000+ HP common rail Cummins in it. The Silver Ram R/T was completely rebuilt to the tune of over 6 figures. The F150 went a little overboard as well. Only time will tell where the ST winds up but it’s well on its way. lol 843C4008-4F6A-4CAB-A754-04FF88D82E86.jpeg E3B12A3E-55F6-4308-A8A8-24EAC04A05BF.jpeg 9F9254C6-5E4C-4892-A92B-13CAA9C23993.jpeg 4C9166EB-8A5D-4727-8E31-F9EA5CCCC4C1.jpeg 79582B5A-F6DE-4652-A00A-C16FC78D2E30.jpeg 7A2D061C-931D-4616-A380-349FAF12BAFB.jpeg 101C885C-B066-485B-8AD7-379928D6E234.jpeg

I will admit to being in the geezer category at 71, but somehow the thrill of speed is still there.

Another one bites the dust.
Was working on one in Nashville , it fell thru ...my decision , they wanted $40,000 and my Lincoln , and wouldn't come down .

So I spent 2 days on internet checking every ford dealer within 2-3 hours drive.
There are none to be had , except a few used , high mileage ones.
Except one 2021 in Milan TN.
2 hour drive. My wife's brother lives there, so we may go visit him soon if I can get away.
Busy time now Christmas and all.

The only thing is , it's Iconic Silver...looks good . Nice light silver color with black trim offsets.

Silver would have been my second color choice. I like silver and white with the contrasting dark trim. I guess I'm near enough to being an old geezer at 55? But I swear I have the maturity of a 20 year old.

And I like my cars. Latest is a 2019 C7 Z06 manual 7-speed which I track on occasion (instructor with NASA).

Doing OK, Do you tow that behind your ST? That would be a great pic too!

Damn.. you’ve had your share of disappointments but don’t settle for silver if you want white. I’m biased but I’m so glad I went with star white. The lines of the car are really complimented in white.

I have not yet but will be during track season next year. I used my Raptor until I sold it and then used my son's Tacoma. Easy to tow with an aluminum trailer.

Wife really likes White, but said Silver is ok.
I like white better.

I heard that there may be some new incentives come January 1th.
May just wait and see if that happens.
If the silver one gets sold....wasn't meant to be.

I'm fussy about the options packs I get also.
Equipment group 401A is a must.

Found a few 2020s with equipment group 400A.
In white .

That's what it's gotta be...the silver 2021 has 401A.

Merry Christmas to me.
Merry Christmas to me.

My quest is over.

Stopped in a local dealer in Mayfield ky. About an hour from me.
Just to talk to them about ordering one exactly the way I wanted it.

He said he had one on order. But it had the $2000 rear entertainment DVD system.
I didn't want to pay for that.
He was at $60, 000 , I didn't want it.

He found one about 2 hours away in Arkansas, he is getting it this evening.

We made a deal...I pick it up Saturday.
White with premium tech package.
Street pack, I got it for $34000 and my car.

Can you tell I'm excited?:p

I won't sleep next 2 nights.

Just picked up my White Knight..LOVE IT.
Exactly what I wanted , premium tech package, street package, no moon/sun roof, no roof rails.
Drove home on interstate at 75 mph...no wind noise at all. Very quiet and smooooth.
Computer said I averaged 25 mpg .
Tried the lane centering mode .... unbelievable, but it really fusses about no hands on steering wheel.
I drove it around some serious curves , it works.
Got my phone paired . Gotta get my garage door opener working.
The sound system sounds awesome. Gotta get the trunk lid height set. Gotta peel the dealer sticker off. Today.

Rainy , windy and cold , so I'll get some pics later.

I noticed it fills the garage quite a bit more than the MKC.

Gonna take some time to read thru the manual.

I'm happy with my Christmas present.

Reading the manual is a good thing. Looking at YouTube videos discussing and demonstrating the features is a little easier. I did both. On this forum is a thread regarding features; it too was helpful.

In process,
As it's too cold for me to be out in the unheated garage to be loving on it..
Gotta get that dealer sticker off and program the garage door opener... priority.

Jim
