Question about airflow for amplifiers

My sub box sits where the middle cover panel normally rests. Amps are directly below it. I'm making side panels with fans in them for circulation but am wondering if it'd be better to have 4 fans exhausting out (away from amps) or 2 in on driver side (into amp area) and 2 out (away from amp area) on passenger side? I think the area below has enough cracks to allow it to pull air from the cabin… but am kind of second guessing myself. Appreciate any input.

Do you have an actual issue or are you solving a problem you may not actually have? My amps, while they do have internal fans, are in the same area and the vented cover is regularly completely covered blocking all fresh airflow to the area. I’ve done multi-thousand mile summer road trips and have never had an issue. Those VXi’s don’t tend to run that hot anyway.
If you do have an actual issue, I would run them on one side only facing out. Let them draw air in from the other side.

Agreed about the VXI normally running cool (even after use) but the middle one has been running noticeably hotter than the other two and I'm thinking it's because of lack of air movement and not having the recommended 3" of clearance so I thought having some moving air would help that.

Also wondering if the center acting as the control for the other two amps is also putting enough load on it that it would create additional heat. Can't see how it would… but… I didn't design the equipment.
