So in my other thread I wanted to know what sensor everyone was using but now I have some questions on how people are wiring the P3 Gauge? The main questions are 1) what fuse are you tapping for power? 2) where are you wiring the "Dimmer" wire to? Any guidance is appreciated.
You’ll have to Google it, but there’s a switched 12V you can use a mini fuse tap on under the dash and you can wire the dimmer to the same place as long as you don’t mind manually, switching it from bright to dim.
Thanks Unbroken, the only video I saw specific to the Explorer was the HSF video which was more of an overview. I will keep looking.
If anyone has wired up the dimmer to work automatically where did you splice it in? I have my gauges at about 60% brightness all the time so don't want to have to manually dim it every time I drive at night.

Honestly it’s more than bright enough on low for daytime driving. I never change mine. You’d have to locate the actual dimmer wire in the headlight switch wiring to make it automatic.
