Yo! I’m Chad from New Mexico, just picked up a 26 Explorer ST about a month ago. On the road a lot for work so needed something comfortable but also wanted something with some get up if I needed it. This is Ripa. IMG_1869.jpeg

@GodParticle314 :

Welcome Aboard!!

What kind of driving are you referring to distance wise? Freeway, country roads or a bunch of stop lights? Sport mode?

Unrelated, mine is a "Job 2" build 5 Dec 2024 and it came with these grotesque Halliburton style brief case looking mufflers. I saw 2-3 other ST's here and they had black mufflers so I update mine.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Mostly highway driving, not very long distances though. Usually around 4-5hrs one way. I have quite a few plans that I’ll eventually get around to;
- Auto stop/start delete (already purchased)
- Black ovals (already purchased)
- Window deflectors (wind noise is so loud on the highway with a cracked window!)
- Roof rack delete (I REALLY don’t want to pull headliner myself)
- Intake (just for turbo noise lol)
- Tune (required after intake)
- Exhaust? Maybe? I don’t want it to be too loud but I do like the sound of the thermal 3”

@GodParticle314 :
That is a good start on a list of "To Do's" for your ST.

When you get a chance, jump over to the "Exhaust Tip Questions" thread where you will see @drcookie , @Leadfoot and I have been discussing exhaust tips on the ST's. I loved the looks of @drcookie's application of WESDON Stainless Steel Tips so I got some for me. At this point I am not 100% sure which complete exhaust system upgrade I will end up getting (know a lot about BORLA from previous 2 Mustangs but also love the Thermal R&D 2.5"s) in the future. My main issue is the "Fake Engine Noise" that is pumped into our interiors. I do not want to install a really nice system until one of our more learned members here figures it out or FORD brakes down and tells us how to PERMANENTLY disable that silly nuisance WITHOUT causing collateral damage/problems to other systems in the vehicle. Until then, I have the look I wanted.

Hello All,

My name is Eric, I reside in South New Jersey. We just ordered an 26 Explorer ST in black. I have been looking around this forum for a few months, deciding which suv platform to get for the wife. We decided on this because she likes to get her Groceries in a hurry, and not spend 100k. We will be doing all kinds of fun stuff to it.

Welcome and, since you have some time before it arrives, now is a good time to order all the necessary ST parts. :devilish::D

2020 Explorer Platinum
Hello I am Tom from N.E. Tennessee. Long time retired SoCal Copper that fled the West Coast in 2017. Recently purchased a low mileage 2020 Platinum. Magnetic Gray with beige leather interior. Perfectly matches my wife's 2020 Escape Titanium Hybrid. 28K miles and clean carfax. Have had no issues so far other than a tire pressure sending unit failed. But at 5 years old I expected it and replaced them all. Hoping to make some lighting changes with Forscan.

Hello,

It took me five years from starting an account here to actually getting the car, but now I finally have an Explorer PHEV (EU-version). Hope it's alright to join even though it's not exactly the same car, but I thought similar enough.

I love the car, best car I ever had. I know its not a "real" ST, so here are some differences:

Engine
Basically same TT V6 engine but slightly downtuned to 363 PS (probably to handle EU-emissions standards). Added electric motor of 104 PS as a parallel hybrid system. The electric motor is integrated into the 10-speed hybrid transmission, with a disconnect clutch between the V6 and the motor/transmission assembly. Combined 457 PS with 825 Nm torque.

Transmission
EU version gets hybrid modified 10R80 transmission.

Equipment
EU ST version comes standard with High Package, Moonroof, Premium Tech Pack, Co-pilot360 Assist+ and Heated/cooled/massage seats.

Wheels
20" as standard...

Plans for upgrades:

- 22" wheels
- Rear Sway bar
- Diff brace
- Intercooler
- Tune
- Extra lights inside grill for long dark winter roads
- Front bar
- Mud guards
- Floor mats

Thanks for all the info provided att this forum, invaluable since there's not much info in the EU of these cars. Some of the parts are hard to get so will end up importing some stuff.

Thank You! Yes I'll definitely post some pictures, here's one without any mods at all. Studded winter tires on. 285/55/20. Original 20x8.5 ET 40 rims. I'll keep them for winter, new wheels and tires on Thursday. IMG_1786.jpeg

Got my 2025 ST in the fall during Ford Employee Pricing Time !
Upgraded with PPF, 2 side Window Tints, Tufskinz red overlay lettering for the Explorer wording on hatch, a few other ST add on for the interior and just ordered some nice Rotiform BTL Wheels as the winter winds down here in the Northeast !
