Just wondering, has anyone else have a problem with the way the 2025 gas pedal is mounted? Out of all the cars I have owned - this is the first ride that I occasionally hit the gas pedal while getting into the seat. Fortunately, I catch it before I red line the engine. Probably just me! :)

Well the car has a soft rev limiter so that’s not possible. Also, doesn’t matter how it’s mounted the position doesn’t change.

Yuppa on same location - something is different for me anyway. I am pushing 80 so it is probably age! :) Didn't know about the "soft rev limiter" - that is great.

Thanks for the reply.

I hate the accelerator pedal location/set up. I had a 23 Explorer before this one it was the same way.. I wish it was farther forward. If I didn’t use cruise control, it would be uncomfortable for long trips. It reminds me of the accelerator pedal on one of my past motorhomes.

The truck is push to start. Wouldn't you be situated in your seat before starting it? This way you don't have to worry about pressing the pedal on accident.

Sometimes (while the car is running) - I get out for something and when I get back in.....

The great thing I learned here is a "soft rev limiter" which is great!

I hate it, wish I could rev it as much as I’d like and the least it could be is a cool sounding rev limiter.
