    I really hate it when…

86 degree outside temp is also a bit too warm.

Transmission Fluid Change - Should I or wait?

Not necessary, unless you ask a Ford service writer, then you will also need a cabin filter, wiper blades, coolant flush, nitrogen change in your tires and on and on etc....

Make sure you text drive very thorough before signing any paperwork. I’ve got a 2023 explorer st fully loaded, disappointed with a few things for sure

It's a Ford that looks good and drives fast. Lease it for no more than the warranty time frame (36 months). If you want a quality car, buy Japanese!

    Fuel octane

I used Costco 87 on my 2020 for 38K miles, now using it in my 2023, so far 9K. No reason to use anything more.

Is everyone ok with the giant tablet and terrible bezel?

I'm on my 2nd ST (2020, now 2023) I did get used to it, but I still don't like the design. Occasionally it freezes, it is a Ford.

    Round #2 - '23 ST replaces '20 ST

I recently upgraded also. 20 Iconic Silver to 23 Carbonized Grey with same package. Great car but disappointed in some of the deletions.

    2023 ST climate control display

I recently returned my 2020 also for a new one. Yes, this is the new normal along with a bunch of other small omissions.

    Rear climate/heated seat controls

I read your post mycbtech, I wasn't going to try to get it for free because I was already given a $100 credit on my window sticker for the deleted rear climate control. I purchased it on my own for less $$ and am sure I did a quicker and possibly better install than a dealership. Thanks anyway.

    Rear climate/heated seat controls

I have a 22 ST also. Rear controls were deleted at factory. I purchased it online from Sunrise Ford in CA. Total cost was 69.59 including shipping. I received in a weeks time and installed it myself in less than 10 minutes. Wiring is already prepped. Remove rear center console cover, remove a...

    Best Fuel?

22k miles on mine in two years, City and Hwy driving. No engine knocking and all the power I ask for. .I have only used 87 since day one mostly from Costco. It's not about saving any $$, It's just NOT necessary to use a higher Octane. (For my type of driving)

    Best Fuel?

87 Octane from Costco for years, runs fine.

    Consumer Report on Explorers

Yes FireGuy, I understand there will be minor issues. But I've had too many for the cost of this vehicle. I don't have the time, and am not expecting or willing to keep returning to the dealership for warranty issues or recalls. It is the best looking car I've had, but disappointing in a few...

    Consumer Report on Explorers

CR is on to something. I've been leasing Explorers continuously since 1996. I am currently on my 10th one, it's a 2020 with currently 19k miles. This one by far looks the best and is the most fun to drive. However, it has been the most problematic one I've had. Nothing major, just a lot of...

    Fuel Type

16k miles so far and only use a Top Tier 87. No performance issues, I can go as fast as I need with no issues. Using 87 is not a matter of saving $$, it's a matter of not wasting $$. If you feel that you're doing "better" for the engine by using a higher octane, go for it. But, it is Not...
