You may want to give them a call. Mne is very stable and doesn't move at all when tightened. Do you have the little ball in there? Sometimes they fall out. I had to use a nail all to hammer a little dimple in the arm and t no longer falls out.

Most high quality hitch racks have some sort of pressure shim that you tighten up when you put the rack in no rattling at all.

Not sure what Thules you are looking at but the quality is not comparable to 1up IMO. The reviews on the Thule on their own site aren't great either. The 1up will last you a lifetime. Kuat makes nice racks but once you do the add-on to get to 4 bikes and the swing arm you are north of 2k. The...

My understanding is that this has not been figured out yet. Something interfering with the noise cancellation in the center speaker on one build and in another build the changes that were thought to work made no difference.
