Picked up my 2025 Ford Explore ST last week

Have the OG 2020 ST, and while yea the interior has some QC issues, still got the 2 bolt rear, no valve issues, and i think the pre-25 front fascia and rear looks better. But i do like the 25 wheels.. I don't think I would trade mine unless I got a great deal.

    Engine intake valve recall 24S55

Yes, the 3.0 EB is part of the nano family of engines and related to the 2.7. Nanos use a composite iron material for the mid-block instead of aluminum. At least ford is copping up to the issue and replacing engines

2020 Explorer ST - Lots of hassle and work done at 35k miles - any success stories welcome

31k miles here, 2020 non- street pack. Livernois tuned since purchase about. 1.Dealership just replaced front axles due to leaking grease. Took one day so happy with that. Also fixed DP rattling. 2. Replaced driver seat heating element as it stopped working a year ago. Paid as it was out of...

    2020 ST.. rear end corrosion?

So mine is an OG 2020 which I purchased in Jan of that year, has 26k New York City miles. It's been through a few winters, and obviously salted roads. I try to give it an underbody wash via the drive-through wash whenever it goes through salt or every so-often. But I just looked at mine...

I've got a Check Engine Light

Thanks again for this, really helpful. I tackled this today using the same Dorman replacement, you can find them on ebay for around $50 -- PN# 994-073. Took me about 2 hours give or take. The tough part is getting the right angle on the back 2 connectors for sure, was definitely resting my...

I've got a Check Engine Light

My evap purge valve is stuck also, and just out of warranty period. Dealership want nearly $1k to replace it. Ridiculous, going to attempt myself!

Love my 2022 ST but why are so many publication reviews trashing the Explorer?

The ST has a great chassis and powertrain. It gets some knocks for the interior quality, but for a car thats most families' AND a police workhorse, its bound to get beat up anyway and at least the pieces are easy to find and replace when you need them. The interior i find is quite intuitive...

    AS1 Valvetronic Exhaust Build

I did, but was kind of surprised that it wasn't 3.5" in the middle to account for the reduction in volume that a single 3" pipe would give you vs 2x2.25" or 2x2.5" . Single 3" should be plenty though, and you do save on materials. The fabrication work looks amazing!
