Diff Bolts very hard to get out.

I haven’t touched the rear end before, as far as I know these bolts have never been out, the car was close-ish to level, put the parking brake on and let the car rest in neutral before putting it in park as well just to make sure there was no preload on those bolts with all factory bushings and...

Diff Bolts very hard to get out.

I sure did try that yes, and I tried to get some penetrating oil in there, but have a road trip tomorrow, so I won’t be able to get this done for about 4000 miles unfortunately, I won’t be beating on it for all that time though!

Diff Bolts very hard to get out.

At first just tried to back the bolts out, nothing, won’t budge. Then I’ve seen some people just support the diff slightly to unload the bolt which I did think was strange myself, but some did do it so I figured I’d try. No change. I don’t feel like breaking the bolt today since I have a big...

Diff Bolts very hard to get out.

Hey everyone, got around to doing my trans bushing which went as smooth as could be, I have the JXB diff inserts for my 2020 and HSF upgraded bolts to go in, I figured it would be a walk in the park but I guess not. Took the weight off the diff with a jack, my 24” bar and I couldn’t break the...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Today was a big day, I did some playing around last week to so I’ll add that one in. Last week was CVF intercooler, this week was CVF downpipes and a retune from Matt at Gearhead. Downpipes… proud of myself for this one, I did them with weight on the ground all 4 corners, fronts on ramps, did...

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

That’s pretty good, I did Yakima WA to Boise ID on 17 Gal that’s about 365 mi, and I couldn’t have made it to the next town. Granted there is a big pass through Oregon and half of Oregon that was is uphill

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

Oh yeah, we’re good, she’s from down here but lived in Canada most her life, but Canada is hard right now, we’re losing all our rights and freedoms almost weekly now. I’m fortunate enough to have a work schedule that lets me do this with tons of paid holidays, I would fly, but flying is way more...

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

I looked into it and the 4 banger only gets like less than 0.5mpg better if I remember right

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

This is all interesting, I’m finding no one cruises in eco on road trips? I’m strictly eco until someone is reeling me in quickly, or a mustang pulls up last week in Seattle I was going from I5 to I90 and there was a bmw bangin and popping behind me through the tunnel, so I said it’s on…… I won...

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

Interesting, my wife made me get rid of my GT350 because the roads were too bad where we lived… now we moved and she wants a car again ‍♂️ the ST will never sound like a GT350 but a GT350 will never launch like a tuned ST

    WTB Let’s try this again.

I’ve heard alright things about Graveyards but I also heard they don’t last long

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

Yes and no, if the power is made more efficient, it will be better. For example If I’m cruising at 2psi boost, and I replace the intercooler and now I cruise at 1psi, it will be better

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

First off I know there is threads out there about this, let’s make this one different. What’s everyone doing to get better economy? I realize that’s not what these cars are for, but I’m doing lots of highways miles as of recent, and anything helps right? My theory is more power, the less fuel...

    WTB Let’s try this again.

I’m pretty sure I’ve been scammed so let’s try this again. 2020 Explorer ST lowering springs, preferably H&R’s I want to pay cash face to face, not doing this shipping thing and being strung along. I am in Camp Verde, AZ but will drive in any direction 2 hours. Lets make a deal. ** Also might be...
