    Chrome wheels

Ditto to brundon's request, please post a full side photo. Were there any clearance fitment issues with the MGP caliper covers, especially on the rear ? In looking at my 20" rear brake's, I felt they would be too close without a wheel spacer ?

Driver Lower Seat Panel - Outboard Side

Same here, my passenger panel broke and was replaced along with an additional seat rattling issue in both front seats which the dealer indentified in TSB 18-2361 which listed almost all Ford vehicles as being effected, but not the 2020 Explorer yet ? They use hose clamps with a rubber hose...

What would you have purchased if there were no Explorer ST?

Aviator, Expedition/Navigator, Durango RT/SRT felt dated, Q7 poor towing setup, X5 w/ third row if you can find one and a Telluride - not enough motor. If I was buying now, I would have wanted to see the new Genesis GV80 3.5. I actually feel the ST was a value (after the out the door price) for...

What competitors did you consider before purchasing Explorer ST?

My must haves were 3 rows, Captains chairs, towing up to 5k++, V8 level power, great driving, Android Auto (a must for me), 87 octane capable, local dealer network choices. As a result of my must haves, my choices were the Expedition (Ford had some nice rebates on 19's), Yukon/Tahoe (felt...

Black friday weekend on new explorer

As the article points out, the big rebates are on the XLT & Limited Explorers, not on the ST which has accounted for 1/3 of all Explorer sales. I have to believe that Ford is taking a similar promotional/pricing approach as the F150 which is to heavily promote the volume leaders XL/XLT's in the...

Three-Row SUVs Compared: Explorer, Telluride, Palisade, Enclave, and CX-9

Typical C&D, they're truly not comparing Apples to Apples in this review in my opinion. Price shouldn't determine which trims they pick for a head to head test, especially in SUV's. Vehicle type, size, seating capacity, trim content & like power trains should be the criteria. Price should only...

Apple or Android, which do you use?

Android here, I will not buy a vehicle without Android Auto & Apple Care Play (wife has Apple). I use it daily, works great in the ST w/Sync 3. I especially use it when driving in traffic congested areas (Google Maps is superior for traffic detection) and running the open highways (Waze). I...

    First towing experience, fantastic......

The ST should pull that no issues, especially in flatter road Florida, assuming you're staying in state. I was pulling in upstate NY, with rolling hills which definitely effected the shifting. The ST pulled my boat so effortlessly, I honestly feel the 5600 lb. two rating is even low with the...

    First towing experience, fantastic......

Yes, it looked to be 2-3 mpg lower than non-towing over my 90 mile mostly highway drive. I attributed that the to the tow mode which didn't get any higher than 8th gear, thus was pulling higher RPM's and shifted down more often on the inclines. I left it in tow mode, however with my approx 3200...

Who turns around and admire their Explorer ST after parking it?

Guilty also, the Explorer and ST in particular is the first vehicle I can remember in a long time that looks great in all the colors it's offered in....

    First towing experience, fantastic......

No temperature issues at all, I was watching both the temp gauges (you get 2 in tow mode ?) and they didn't move. The outdoor temp was in the low 60's, 90 mile drive, mostly highway. The ST felt like it could handle much more than my #3200 boat..

    First towing experience, fantastic......

Around 3,200#'s all in trailer, boat, motor, contents... Barely could tell it was even there behind me...

    First towing experience, fantastic......

Pulled the boat out of the lake this week and used the ST. Fantastic experience, really liked the trailer light check, BLIS trailer mode (worked great) and the sway control I take did it's job, no swaying on the highway (although trailer was nice & level)... The ST went into "trailer mode" when...
