    Window Clunk

Sorry to resurrect a zombie thread, but after a couple years did anyone ever get an answer out of Ford for this? I tried resetting the bounce back using their procedure but it didn't help. Admittedly I haven't seen anyone on the forum complaining their windows are screwed either, so maybe it's...

    stock sub depth need measurements.

Ok, look in just going to delete the last post. This is getting to personal for me and that's not who I am. I have different opinions and experience to unbroken. I am not here to get into arguments about stuff that fundamentally has very little importance in the grand scheme of things...

    stock sub depth need measurements.

As I said, I went looking for anything that supported this opinion. It's just a bunch of people saying it's not recommended. But there are just as many that say just use a separate enclosure. I respect his desire for perfection, but that's not my objective. At the end of the day there are many...

    stock sub depth need measurements.

If I find the time to do it, I'll let you know if works out, or if it's a miserable failure. By the way (I did do a quick Google search to, you know educate myself. But honestly I couldn't find anything that actually explained how any of the stuff you mentioned occurs. Mostly it's just people...

    stock sub depth need measurements.

Yeah, that's great thanks for your input. I never asked for your help, I just asked for depth of the stock sub.

    stock sub depth need measurements.

Look, I'm too old to argue with people on the internet, lets just assume I want to ruin my car and burn down the world. But like you, I can't leave well enough alone. If you believe that a frequency which is literally just a wave form with a time period changes based on the speaker size, then...

    stock sub depth need measurements.

Ummm, ok so many systems use multiple different sized speakers (i.e. house speakers, or I don't know, cars that have subs, 5" doors, 6x9's), frequencies don't change based on the size of the speaker (just what the speaker can handle), cancellations don't occur unless you wired them out of phase...

    stock sub depth need measurements.

Why would you say that? The stock enclosure looks to be about 0.8cuft, the port length is adequate. An externally powered shallow 8" will probably do just fine in there. What "rules" do you think are broken? It's hard to believe anything could sound worse than what's in there now.

    stock sub depth need measurements.

Hey folks I installed a 12inch sub recently, and the amplifier I installed has a second channel that is unused. I was thinking of replacing the stock sub to be powered by my second channel. Does anyone have a stock sub they could measure for depth do I can look at what choices exist out there...

Has anyone added a powered sub? Any audio techs here?

Hopefully this helps, but the connection is under the plastic in the back corner. I did it when the truck was apart.i don't think you can reach it when everything is in place.

Has anyone added a powered sub? Any audio techs here?

I picked up the ground in the back of the trunk, left side. There is a factory ground point available right on the floor tucked in the corner. I didn't do anything with forscan. Just wired, set the gain and done. Trunk rattling bass.

Is it possible a protection circuit is kicking in for some reason? Is the speed sensitive volume turned off?

    School Me On Winter Tires

I bought a set of 18's for my ST with the bigger brakes. They fit fine. Close, but they easily fit over the brakes.
