    Tow to the dealer....

Just as smooth, obviously has more power and you can tell. From a dig and rolling, the srt walks on a ST stock to stock. I will say the ST has more creature comforts and is a tad bigger on the inside. The SRT is built more towards performance, and has more towing capacity also. The SRT also...

    Tow to the dealer....

we got the tech package, tow package... pretty much it outside stock. And we paid just a hair more than the ST.

    Tow to the dealer....

Thanks appreciate it. We already replaced it and got the wife an srt Durango. Definitely staying with a fast 3 row suv

    Tow to the dealer....

We started it before the 30day mark, it just took this long to fully process and to turn it in.

    Tow to the dealer....

Well after one heck of a process, especially with this Covid crap. We finally turned the car in today. Bye bye explorer. Hope y’all have better luck with yours, and hopefully our issue and then finally finding a resolution will help others in the future not have their car sit at the dealer for 3...

VTA mod, am I the first?

Check under the seat thoroughly for a loose connection, cuz that’s what it was for us.

VTA mod, am I the first?

^^ correct. The factory set up on all ecoboost motors is to recirculate. If you want that “race car/tuner” turbo blow off sound, you can either spend 4$ on some rubber chair leg stop things and disconnect a tube or theres potentially some actual blow off valves being made for the ST. Either way...

    BOV or VTA mod?

I’ve done the VTA mod and made a tutorial about it. It’s super simple and cheap and does its job of just making noise. Pictures are included but no video. I don’t plan I’m making a video as I’m also going thru the buy back process (covid 19 is slowing it down).

    Tow to the dealer....

Yea all/most of our parts were back order as well. Ours was in the shop twice, first for the t-stat for just over a week and second for coolant temp sensor plus a whole lot of diagnostics for almost 3 straight months. We have the car back now, ford covered out of pocket rental charges (not...

    Tow to the dealer....

Yea I’m driving primarily, while we still have it, keep the miles off my truck lol. It still drives good, looks nice and has a lot of amenities (that’s what happens when you pay top dollar to have everything). At this point it’s a safety and reliability issue with us. We just don’t have that...

    Tow to the dealer....

Update: we got the car back, finally. It’s been almost 3 straight months in the shop. Still awaiting word on the buy back. It’s probably going to be awhile due to the current health pandemic.

    Tow to the dealer....

Update: car is still in the shop, been waiting on a part of a part. Potentially will be fixed in the next day or 2 if they’re still open. Buy back has been taking much longer than needed and expected. Apparently it’s on hold due to the corona virus. We should’ve had an offer by now but they’ve...

    Tow to the dealer....

Most recent update, car is still in the shop. Buy back wise, kind of still phase 1 or 1a perhaps. They have documentation, awaiting a call on the “offer” or numbers break down. As in what they’re paying off, what they are giving back to us and what they’re stealing...I mean keeping. Should be...

    Tow to the dealer....

Sorry to hear that. 1. Every state has different requirements that need to be met for buyback/replace. 2. Ours is actually still in the shop because it’s not longer an overheating issue but an overcooling issue (won’t reach and maintain operating temperature). Even with big ford tech reps they...

VTA mod, am I the first?

Keep the side under the air box open. Don’t worry you won’t be letting anything in, the valve stays closed until it has that built up pressure to release. If you want to be extra you can install a little breather filter there. No worries, hope this helps.
