Explorer Compliance Recall Notice 25C42/NTHSA Recall 25V543

I always find it interesting that recalls occur and all to often no parts are available for the recall yet they keep on pushing out the brand new vehicles with the parts they cannot get to satisfy the recall. Their priority is not the post purchase consumer experiencing the problems. It's all...

They are updating the oil drain plug at parts department

What are you talking about being a 1-time use? The stock drain plugs are not a 1-time use. If you've been replacing yours everytime than you are a sucker.

correct black touch up paint for black 2022 ST wheels

When I had my 22' ST I used a simple oil based black paint pen on rim chips. It looked fine but granted, they were only chips and not larger scuffing. For larger areas I would use a good quality spray paint and mask off appropriately. That's just my opinion.

    2026 Order banks open!

Ford has always decontented vehicle as they cycle through their current generations. This is nothing new and it is a profit driver for Ford. It only benefits them, not the comsumer.

    Passenger front diff leak

You're way off on the torque specs for the lower strut bolts. I added a Traxda lift to my 25' ST in Jan. or February of this year. I had to use my big torque wrench to torque them properly.

    October Software Update Installed Today

And if you have an auto start/stop eliminator, you once again have to unhook the negative battery terminal for a little while and hook it back up for it to work properly. WTH is it with these updates that disables the auto start/stop eliminator.. . After this October update, my start/stop...

    October Software Update Installed Today

Or... the issue could be due to this recall notice I just received. Apparently the dome light is a affected item per this letter.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Until you have certain over the air updates. Certain updates deactivate the S/S eliminator and you need to unhook the negative battery terminal for a few mins and then hook it back up to have the S/S eliminator work correctly again. I've had (2) updates that messed with it and that is the...

Autostop Eliminator Causing faults on 2025

I don't believe its the auto S/S eliminator that is problematic itself. Ford over the air updates affect it sometimes and the fix is to reset everything by removing the neg. battery cable. I believe the mandated start / stop is going away with the Trump administration so possibly Ford will make...
