That was the original swap, both work the same however the 8" screen is 100% OEM because well it is. There are cosmetic issues with the Lincoln swap that some people do not want to deal with.

And then there is their F1 sponsorship with Rebull, that money would have been better spent fixing their house. Hopefully they use the current RB issues to cancel the agreement and save face before their branded power units start blowing up in 2026....

This is a great upgrade even if the ascetics look like garbage from certain angles, the vents from the 8" landscape screen make it a little better they mainly give you better access to the wheels for the vents. I am hoping the 3d printing guys on Facebook have some decent solutions soon.

Fitting and getting the APIM to report the correct resolution are two different things, the reason the Lincoln screen works is due Aviator and Explorer using the same hardware behind the scenes and being able to select the Aviator profile in Forscan.

On android auto you press the button in the lower left corner and select the Ford icon or the Lincoln icon if you did the switch to that screen. I am sure its some what similiar on carplay.

And why did they initiate a customer satisfaction recall on the 360 camera system due to cloudiness when they couldn't complete orders coming off the assembly line.... I wonder if that was their way of admitting one of the issues with the cameras without saying it.....
