Exhaust Leaks from Flex Pipes and Catalytic Converter 57K Miles

Do the flex pipes vibrating cause the cats to crack and fail? My 2022 has stock exhaust and it appears the flex pipes were replaced at some point by the previous owner. The overall condition of my exhaust is good and I have been waiting to replace it with a 2.5 catback from thermal. My stock set...

    2025-2026 ST missing undershield replacement

I purchased my 2022 rig used. First road trip my undershields were making a racket. A few of the special fastener/spacers were stripped out and broke. Upon inspection, I cleaned out a couple pounds of sand_mud_gravel hitchhiking in my undershields. I’ll be checking them again to see how much I...

    Hard shift 3rd to 4th gear + 91 vs 87 octane

I have a 22 ST as well. Look into the 10r60 transmission CDF drum failure. They all have this problem. Mine shifted hard and I had a new transmission installed. Hard shifts gone.

Brake pedal vibration when at a complete stop.

It’s most likely the stock exhaust system. Flex pipe vibration. My 2022 does it too and it drives me nuts.

    Transmission Shudder

Ford needs to do better. I just read a news story this morning about ford setting a record for recalls in 2025. Over 150 recalls for 2025 and a huge amount since 2020. GM is up there as well. GM uses a version of the 1060 transmission and it has issues too. High priced poorly engineered vehicles.

    Transmission Shudder

The 1060 transmissions have issues. I talked with an honest ford technician and a CDF drum fault with likely occur in all STs up till mid 2023. I bought my 2022 ST used and it shifted erratically. I had a new transmission installed and it now shifts smoothly. Like driving a different vehicle...

    Rough cold idle

My 2022 does this as well. I wouldn’t call mine rough, but it’s not smooth. Only occurs on cold starts below 20 degrees, then smooths out in a few minutes. It’s a small popping out of stock exhaust. I’ve had my rig for 6 months and I’m at 62k. Could be normal.

    Rear differential brace

Yeah I understand. I’m grasping lol

    Rear differential brace

Has anyone heard of a ford dealer installing the upgraded hardened diff bolt? If ford is aware of this potential weak point, it would be cool to have this done at the dealership for warranty purposes. For my driving style, this would suffice.

    new-to-me 2021 ExST with 20k miles

I would get an extended warranty if you can. Everyone has their own experience, but I’ve owned my 22 ST for 6 months (61k miles) and just had a new transmission installed. The warranty covered it $8000. I would like to do a couple mods, but the warranty is making me pause. The mods would be...

    Rear differential brace

This kind of makes me wonder how many of us with the 3 bolt diffs are driving around with a bent rear bolt lol.

    Rear differential brace

Absolutely! A service dept that wants to help you is a beautiful thing.

Solid advice thank you. Precisely what I was thinking

    Rear differential brace

So I called my dealership today and the two mods I want would not be well received by the extended warranty. Rear differential brace and catback exhaust. I Might do them anyway. This extended warranty game is interesting. I guess I should be happy they just covered my new transmission. The...
