Rear differential brace Steeda, Livernois, ID speed

Mine all started last fall. I did have my brace on for about 3-4 months and had not issues. Right about 95,000 miles. I do second it when it starts making the noise nothing covers it up.

Rear differential brace Steeda, Livernois, ID speed

I have the Steeda. I actually don't have it connected because of NVH issues. Although it may not be common to the Steeda as I am sure there would be more posts about it. I get a very noticeable humming noise that seems to be transmitting from either the rear diff pinion or carrier bearings. Not...

    Steeds brace

You don't. You got to be real careful lightly threading the bolts into them. I used a screw driver to line up the bolt holes with the bushing mount.

COBB Accessport - Goosetuned Tuning thread

Lots of factors go into breaking axles. #1 shock load. HSF uses his transbrake for launching. #2 wheel hop/bunny hop. If you launch on a surface with too much grip or too little you will break stuff from a launch. If it feels like the cars shaking let out. #3 suspension angle. Axle joints...

    Intercooler talk....

Here is a datalog from this afternoon. For reference the ambient temp was 71°. This was getting on the freeway so I ran through gears 2-5.

    Intercooler talk....

I actually purchased and installed the Livernois Intercooler. I think about 30 days ago. Function of the intercooler seems right on par with everything else on the market on a 75° day making a run through Mexico the charge air temps were less than 90° at full load on a 93 Octane tune in 4th...

COBB Accessport - Goosetuned Tuning thread

That would be cool. I would use it like 4 times. Once to show my wife, once to whoop my buddies Scat Pack, another to beat his Cybertruck, and one more for fun.

Was this with the transbrake function?

What kind of shifting improvements? Would I notice since I was tuned in April of '24?

    Rear End Failure

Anyone that got their diff replaced what was the labor quote for that? I have 89,000 miles and pretty sure my front pinon bearing is on it's way out.

    S&B or K&N CAI

K&N, S&B, and AFE all connect to the same fresh air duct in the grille. Which is about half the size of your drop in filter. Fen Fab is the only intake that doesn't have that as a restriction. However longer inlet pipes also make the turbos less efficient. All the tuners say you don't need a...

    Rear Axle Seal Leak

Negative. 81,000 miles. I did check my paperwork and It was April 2024 the dealer replaced all the axle seals and circlips to do the bushing recall. Maybe they will step up and fix their work. However I am doubtful they have a monopoly on my area and are known for poor customer service.

    Rear Axle Seal Leak

I hope it's not a bearing going bad as well. I've had this thing in several times for rear axle clunking though, so could I'm going is a torn seal from the 2-3 sets of rear axle replacements. Are you a Ford technician?
