Thank you ! It really changed the look of the vehicle after painting it . I can ask them when I get a chance . I know they had to do some light sanding to smooth it out for primer and paint .

Where I do agree with you on the stripes , I am considering trying a single large red stripe down the middle with red accent stripes . I think it has to be a proper width to make it look correct .

I found it on Ebay but I haven't seen them since . You have to make sure they will fit your Explorer because there are plenty for an F150 .

Its basically expected from a performance mod . They will all have their negative side effects if you are expecting OEM results .

Functional....yes . I can see a ton of heat waves coming out through them but under hood temps are still pretty high since I live in a desert climate . As far as the structural integrity goes , the hood is still solid as a rock since most of the vents are cut through the outer skin only .
