    Not a COP

Happened to me on I-75 the other day. Passed someone on the right that was holding the left lane. Was doing 80+ when I pulled back into the left lane behind a suv . The suv hit the brakes and quickly pulled into the right lane. lol

What Did the Wife Do to the Explorer ST Today

Got the ST back and my body shop did an excellent job. Sprayed out 3 test shots to get the right color. Just a hair under 2 grand for parts and labor. FYI, the black piece above the exhaust has to be painted black. I thought it was shiny black plastic.

    More dealer service problems

The dealer crushed mine. I rebent and repainted and now leave them a note telling them to use the jack points

    Rear exhaust hanger, Doohickey

We drove ours while waiting for the part but I wired the exhaust up using the hanger bolt and wire. Funny, the left side bracket dissolved into powder, and the right bracket is perfectly fine.

2200 mile trip in the ST

The only way the seats could be better is to have a ball massager, but I guess that's what the wife is for.

2200 mile trip in the ST

Round trip mileage from Ohio to Anna Maria Island in Florida. Explorer ran flawlessly an used no oil. Rarely ran under 80 except through Atlanta (about an hour and a half of downtime on I-75). Rain most of the time going down and some on the way back, so it's quite the pig in need of a good...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Routine maintenance. Use it both vehicles at oil changes. Won’t clean intake valves on the Explorer but it will clean the injectors.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

(Yesterday) Motorcraft front and rear wiper blades and a bottle of Chevron Fuel System Cleaner. Also replaced the rear muffler hanger that had turned into dust on the left side. I had ordered both hangers but oddly enough, the passenger side hanger was perfectly fine.

    Scraped a pole... ugh

Looking to get ours in the shop mid-April. Paying out of pocket $1100.00 in parts, and I'm guessing a grand for the paint and labor. If you get a chance, post a pic of the damage.

    Caliper Color

I've had good results using Rustoleum Enamel. Buy it in the half pint cans and brush it on. Couple of coats. Cleaned everything good with brake clean. Variety of colors.

    Rear exhaust hanger, Doohickey

Just had the left side go bad.

Hit a deer. Now comes the auto insurance dance...

I've hit 2 over the years and had my preferred body shop fix it. I think insurance companies allow the shops to account for unseen damages.

It was a lamp pole with the concrete base at the bottom. No warnings at all and didn’t try to stop her. Funny, the auto braking has kicked in when we back out of the garage but not this time. Thankfully, it’s all cosmetic .

Upper and lower bumper cover and rh molding from FordParts (my cost) $1091.01. Mid-March before it goes to the body shop. You're probably close at 2 grand. Not sure what Star White Tri-Coat will cost over regular base/ clear.
