I can't really say whether or not the noise happens when suspension is activated. I would think the suspension gets activated all the time when rolling, but I do notice the noise when breaking on smooth pavement or rough. Update from dealer was. "Looks like Ford is having us replace a link"...

The second attempt to repair this noise will involve replacing something to do with the Front End Link.

my latest update is that my ST is still in the shop approaching 8 WEEKS!!! They received this "special" center strut nut, replaced it, and the noise if still there. I'm looking at options to give this vehicle back and get out of my lease. 8 weeks/2months...are you kidding FORD!!?? Dealer is...

Latest update: Dealer is looking at the right front strut. They need to special order a new nut. We shall see

The update from my dealer: They had an Engineer come out and they are researching any other customers having this issue. So basically the more people that bring their STs into the dealer for this issue, the better..it sounds.

My ST is at the dealership now for this noise. They are telling me they are calling to Ford Hotline to see if anyone else is calling in with this issue. In the meantime, they put me in a 2020 Explorer Limited and it makes the same noise... Along with some other noises. To avoid them from...
