Anyone else having trouble trying to buy a Zfg tune and ship to Ontario? I keep getting “Zfg racing doesn’t ship to your location” at checkout.

I used the contact form and Adam sent me a PayPal invoice for the tune.

Thank you!! I sent him an email, I don’t see the contact form anymore. Can’t wait to get the tune.

Anyone having problems getting a hold of ZFG? I have a few questions before spending the money on a tune and haven't received a response to email and text in over a week. Not the type of response I feel comfortable with when spending $1k+ on a tune.

Should send him another e-mail. Adam can get overwhelmed at times, this is his side gig as well. He's usually pretty good though so this isnt the norm.

Depending on your questions most have already probably been asked so hitting up the owners who already have and been running ZFG might be a quicker way to get your answers. You can do so on her or FB groups

I guess I could post here and get feedback from other ZFG users. I've installed CVF downpipes, 3" Thermal R&D, CVF intercooler and a drop in filter. I like the idea of the DMS tune but I really want to get rid of the awful trans shifts, especially in Sport, and it sounds like a custom tune handles that better than DMS. I need confirmation that DMS will help, and if it won't, then I might just do a custom tune. I was also confused about RTD vs MPVI and how to install the tune (I don't have a laptop), but from what I've read, the RTD should be sufficient and I can do it all through the TDN app. Can the tune also disable the auto start/stop, FENG, horn honk, etc or do I have to use Forscan?

Thanks in advance!

Anything from ZFG is a custom tune. The DMS tune just allows you to have different tune types (essentially different power levels) assigned to different drive modes.

Those that have the DMS Tune, what was your turn around time for the base file? I'm pretty anxious but don't want to annoy ZFG...

Ok. Its been a week today. Not too long, but I'm also worried I annoyed him. In the instructions it says if you are using TDN to sync your stock file to TDN and then submit a TDN request. I did that, but ZFG responded the next day and said I needed to do a DMS request. I mentioned the instructions weren't clear, but would submit a DMS request. I went and submitted the request that day and asked if he received it. Its been 6 days without a response now. I know he is busy so I didn't want to bug him. I resynced my file to TDN today to make sure its there for him.

I'll be patient and wait for a response. I was mostly curious what others experienced. He has tuned 2 of my expeditions in the past and the experience was good. I really hate TDN, its so slow, takes 30-40 minutes each time to read the files and sync it. I'll wait to hear so I don't waste my time haha

I wouldn’t worry too much. I am also waiting for my rev file. I bet these dms tunes take a ton of time to modify. These are like 4 tunes in 1, plus I heard from a reliable source that ZFG is balancing his time with business and family during the summer months. I’ve flashed back to stock since many members on here have said that the baselines are meant solely for data logging purposes. I think by the weekend we should have the revisions. Hang tight bud you’re not alone lol.

Thanks for the response. Family comes first, and if that is what is holding him up, I'm fine waiting as long as it takes.

With my 2 expeditions, it was only a few days and we had the final tune done. Thats all I had to compare it to. It makes complete sense that the DMS will take more time. I'll be patient and wait for him to get back with me. I debated about going with 5-Star, since they seem to have a good reputation, but they didn't say anything about DMS on their website, and to me the extra time and money are worth it for a DMS tune.

I have been on the forums since I ordered my car back in the early part of 2020 and although I don’t post much, I have read a ton of post over the years. Anyone that is considering a 5star tune should do a lot of research for testimonials on this site. There appears to be significant risk to the transmission when using 5star. Quite a few members have had their trans detonate and had to get it replaced.

General consensus is Zfg is top dog and if you’re broke you can go Pbd. Both are custom tunes and datalog on the street but Zfg is better. It seems that at some point, everyone changes over to Zfg and there has to be a reason. It can’t be just “hype”.

I swear Adam must not like me. It's been 2 weeks today since I sent him the data logs for the tunes now. No update, no response to questions I sent 5 days ago. 3 weeks since I bought the runes. It was much faster with my expeditions.i know and assumed DMS would take longer but I have expecting 3 weeks.

Am I just being impatient and need to adjust my expectations?
